Meet the new Youth Development Officer, Jason Yelverton. He brings to the position a stack of passion for the role based on his own experiences and a vision for the future. The former Uniting Care Burnside group worker is a father of two and believes in nurturing and mentoring young people to ensure they have the confidence and ability to reach their full potential.
In his previous role, Jason was responsible for organising group get-togethers for families and was the coordinator of the Dads for Kids festival. Jason hopes to build on that experience by getting the various agencies working together, parents more involved and activities for all young people, not just those at risk.
