A YMCA leadership program for young people aged 15-18. 

Youth Parliament will convene for the eighth time in 2010, and we would be delighted to have representation from your school or organisation. 

Youth Parliament teaches students about Parliamentary procedures and etiquette whilst providing them with the opportunity to develop their own bills (in teams according to the issues that interest them) and debate them in the NSW Parliament House Legislative Assembly in front of Ministers and MPs. Participants attend two camps held in Sydney:

1)   Training Camp: 9th - 11th April, 2010
2)   Residential Camp: 4th - 9th July, 2010

Although there is a cost to the program, it is supported by the YMCA and we offer significant assistance in supporting participants to raise funds. Applications close Friday 19th February. Students can download an application form or apply online at www.sydney.ymca.org.au/youth-parliament
